No, Canadascope and its marketing products are not part of the CTC.

Can our registration be paid by credit card?

Yes, we do accept VISA & MasterCard. Please do not email your card number in, but rather phone it in at 1-888-672-2201 or fax 1-514-907-2751.

Can our registration be paid for by a company cheque?

Yes, we do allow for your payment on a company cheque.

Can we design our own booth?

We do have a set design for the booths, and this is a standard for all exhibitors. Your content inside the booth will be your own specific information, but in a standard format.

Can we pay for the entire year at one time?

Yes, you can pay for the complete year in advance.

Can we select our own location?

No, sorry, but we reserve the right for selection of booth space.

Can we sign up for the year?

Yes, it is possible to sign up for a complete year or even longer should you wish.

Do I have to supply my rate card?

No, we would suggest that you do not put your rates up on the booth. When the viewer goes into your own web site, then your rates may or may not be there. If they like the product, then they would contact you directly for further information such as rates.

Do we have to register?

Yes, a paid up registration is required in advance.

Do we need to pay in advance?

Yes, you need to be paid in full before we arrange construction of your booth.

How can a little operation compete with major hotels and attractions?

You will be right up there with all other registered booths. Every booth will be on an equal footing. It is the information in your booth that will attract and then your own web site.

How does the cost of this type of trade show compare with a live show?

Our registration fee is a simple on charge. With this type of online trade show, you don’t have any extra expenses as you would by attending a live trade show. Example: no hotel, air, booth transportation, conference registration and general travel expenses.

How long will this trade show last?

We will be online for the full year, but with changes of some booths after each three month period.

How will this online trade show help my business?

We will drive traffic to your web site. We will expose your product into areas that you perhaps do not have the budget to market. By this site being a one-stop-shop for buyers of product, they will be able to find your product much easier.

How will this trade show be promoted?

We will be promoting through advertising in our print publication, email mailers, our e-product bulletin, our online Focus mailer, trade advertising, attendance at live trade shows, editorial releases and through related links such as Google, Yahoo, etc.

If we pay for the year, will our price increase?

If you register no later than the 'Rendez Vous Canada' conference and register for the year, our special introductory registration will hold. However, after the end of May 2008 and the conclusion of our special registration rate, then the rates will more than likely increase. These new rates will be firm for one complete year.

This is very confidential information and we will not advertise it.

Is this for groups only?

This is for any type of tourism for Canada.(Group, FIT, General Tourism, Convention Planners, Group Planners, Travel Incentive Companies, etc.)

Yes, this marketing product is a division of Canadascope Publishing.

We have never marketed this segment, why should we now?

If you are looking for additional clients, then the cost of this trade show is a minor part of your overall marketing plans. Even if you were to simply get advertising value, or perhaps a couple of new clients, then it is well worth the expenses.

We operate in more than one province. Where would we be placed?

Your booth will be placed in the area of your home office. If you operate on a national basis, you will be in the National hall. You also can take more than one booth and be located in the aisle where other province booths are in one general area.

What if we are only a seasonal operation?

People plan their trips at different time for different destinations. You should think about being up for the full year to take advantage of this marketing planning.

What if we want to be on multiple show floors?

Should you want multi-floor booths, then we would change you as per each registration for each floor.

What trade floor or location will we have?

This all depends on your supplier category. If you are a product supplier then you would go on the Supplier floor. If you are a DMO, then the DMO floor. Should you be a national company, then we would put you into the National floor.

Who is Canadascope?

Canadascope is an independent Canadian corporation. Our principals are well known in the tourism industry and have many years of Canadian tourism marketing experience.

Who will be visiting your online trade show?

As this trade show will be online, it is open for the world to see.

Will the general web searchers be able to access this trade show?

We are directing our marketing to tour operators, travel agencies etc., but by being on the web, anyone one who is searching Canada tourism product will be able to view the trade show and make contact in the very same manner.

Will this product be available in multiple languages?

Unfortunately, no. By being on the web and circulating around the world, it would be impossible to have this site in multi-languages, not even including the cost factor.

Will we be able to advertise our product on your web site?

Yes, we do have banner-type ads available that will appear in a rotating order on each page of the web site.

Will we be able to get a list of visitors?

We will not be able to supply you with a list of “hits”, as this information is confidential and a protection for the browser. However, if they do enter and click on you own web site, and should you have a tracking system, then you should be able to control this from your end.

Would I be considered a tour operator or receptive operator?

If you are operating your own tours then you are a tour operator. If you are booking clients on other operator tours then you would be classified as a Receptive Operator. But you could be both, and then you may want to consider two booths, one on each floor.
